If you wish to live and work in Switzerland you need to apply for a residence and work permit. Swiss citizens and citizens of EU/EFTA member states are given priority over nationals of other countries.

Citizens of EU/EFTA member states

Citizens of EU/EFTA member states (excluding the new EU 8-member states) may apply for a residence and work permit by presenting a signed working contract with a Swiss company to the Office for Migration.

Citizens of the new EU 8-member states and citizens of non-EU/EFTA member states may submit their residence and work permit applications to the Office for Economy and Labor
